Planning Our teen film opening

TITLE:Love and Education
Brief outline

We have decided to do our short film opening about a boy who is living on the poverty line in London but is very popular ,who has no money lives on his own because his parents left him. A girl who is the prettiest girl in the school all the boys want to be with her but she has a secret she is very intelligent.The opening will show the two characters as they enter the school.The boy will see his friends and then attempt to steal something from the canteen, we will also have a flashback of him looking inside his fridge to reveal their is nothing inside.The Girl walk in and have the boys watching her, then we will have another flashback to earlier that day when she is applying her make up.The two characters will find companionship due to understanding each others misgivings.

If we were filming the whole film

If we were filming the whole film, we would have shown more locations than just the walk in to college,a kitchen and the bathroom.Although because we are not shooting the whole film,we decided these were the key elements of our teen film which a wanted to include to give the audience the clearest idea about what our teen film is about. A lot more characters would have featured within the opening.

Thinking behind our idea

When we were brainstorming ideas for our teen film we decided we wanted to follow ome of the similar conventions of a normal teen film but wanted it to be slightly different. So when creating our characters instead of having the popular guy be really rich and have the perfect life we would have him being poor and struggling financially.The prettiest girl in school normally stereotyped as the bimbo or cheerleader, we wanted her not to be like this but to actually have a secret of her own being she is extremely intelligent;but she hides if from everyone so she is not labelled a geek. 

Inspiration

Cady Heron is one character which inspired our character of Jennifer, because she comes to this new school and becomes friends with the most popular girls in school, who are bimbo's but she is extremely smart.

So we decided our character would be heavily made up like Cady Heron and she would almost cover up how smart she is in order to be popular.
