This week we filmed our Shot by Shot remake of the Breakfast club.During this process we found there were things that did not go as well as planned and others which went well.
We begun our recording on mondays lesson, we recorded the shot by shot remake in the order of our storyboard.Whilst filming our remake we had still shots of things such as the clock, canteen, and student work board during this we didn't manage to get to film at a time when the college was quiet so they shots often had a lot of background noise. The changing room shot and the car shots were particularly hard to shoot, because we were only on the college site and we didn't have any car to record in.Perhaps if we had more money we could have hired cars which would have been identical to the ones in the film opening. However we decided to use the green screen in order film the shots in the car and edit the characters into a car in final cut.Throughout the week we constantly referred to our storyboard and the clip of the opening of The Breakfast Club to help us whilst filming our remake. Some shots like of the hallway and the auditorium, were messed us during our filming process;this was due to us pressing a button which made the camera really dark.
When we started our filming some of our actors didn't show up which lead to us having to improvise, using classmates and friends to fill in for them.Another problem which we came across was we struggled to find some of the costumes which we needed for the characters, so we had to use other costumes which we thought fit the stereotype of the characters.
