The following clips i have chosen because they have elements which we could work with when we make our opening.
1.The first sound which i have found, has elements which you would normally find within teen films of the following sub-genres teen comedy and teen romance, it is really upbeat and preppy. The setting of the opening would generally have a school, bedroom or on a journey home. The non-diagetic music would be played with bright colors on the screen, which would link to the jolly vibe of the opening.
2.The next sound would be more in a teen-horror/thriller,the sounds would played when the titles are being shown and slowly fade in as the initial shot is brought in.The music has a very dark and sinister feel to it,which would put the audience on edge from the very beginning. The slowing and the speeding up of the beat would also keep them glued to the screen.
3.The last would be included in a teen-fantasy,teen-adventure or a teen film with a very minimal feel.
What i particularly liked about this sound was that it starts very low and slow and builds up adding more and more sounds to it making it more interesting. It also gives it a wider variety of shots which would match the style of the sound,we could either having a party type scene where the non-diagetic sound forms a sound bridge with the diagetic sound within the party, or we could have a very simple opening with very abstract photography as the title sequence is shown.
