The Breakfast Club Green Screen

The Green Screen Edit
We decided to use the green whilst filming of The Breakfast Club, this was because of our limited budget which meant it would have been cheaper to use the green screen and edit the characters into the car in final cut.At the time we underestimated the time and effort which it would take to actually edit the clip if we used the green screen. So i think if we did decide to use a screen within our teen movie we would, time manage ourselves better in order to spend more time on the editing stage.
We watched a variety of clips like this one which helped us on the different steps we needed to take in order to do the green screen edit. Some initial problems we has was the clip used a different version of final cut so, we had to search for clearer videos.

Despite our best efforts to get all the car shots inside a car we did not have enough time and did not figure out quick enough. The first few times we attempted the green screen it did not look realistic. Then we changed the chip we were going to use. Then we had to black out the background using the ... tool ,so we could insert the image of the car.We found a picture of a cars interiors ,which suited each characters stereotype or which was similar to the one in the film opening. Once we got the interior imported into final cut,we zoomed it out so it fit perfectly behind our actors. After  we did this we added a background behind the car to make it look like we were outside the school, just like in the opening of the film.

This is the short shot we did manage to get green screened into the car.
